The EJ1122 2-port EtherCAT junction can be positioned in an EtherCAT module segment anywhere between the EtherCAT plug-in modules and enables configuration of EtherCAT star topologies. A modular EtherCAT star hub can be realized by using several EJ1122 on one signal distribution board. ? The RJ45 sockets are external and allow positioning directly on the signal distribution board. Individual devices or complete EtherCAT segments can be connected at the junction ports. The EJ1122 supports coupling and uncoupling of EtherCAT segments during operation (Hot Connect).
